News:

It's that time of the year when we update the news page. Like a cowboy who takes a bath once a year, whether he needs it or not, we try to keep similar standards in our news page. Regular as clockwork. There you are. Anyway, as the great Jarvis Cocker once sang, "It may seem to the untrained eye, I'm sitting on my arse all day", but I promise you we have not been idle. The band have just returned from Stockholm where we have been recording with producer Jari Haapalainen. It's been a step up in class for all concerned, with the obvious exception of Jari who, like a gifted, modern-thinking football manager coaching a pub team, can only work with the players that he has. We go back to Sweden the first week in March to mix the tracks and then we'll see what's what. Stockholm is a beautiful city and, regardless of what becomes of the new recordings, we won't forget our time there. Thanks to Jari for his patience and hard work, and also to Mattias from Cosy Den for putting on a gig for us on our last night. We even managed to find a late night pool hall after the show which looked like a classier version of Champs on Byres Road. Finally, our continued appreciation to honorary Starlets, Mike Truscott from the 17th Century, Dave Dixon from The Hidden Masters, and Caroline Evens, from Edinburgh - fellow travellers.

More live shows just announced including a festival! See below:
